Geometry that Works
The Aix is agile and responsive.
You can race it, but it doesn’t have the twitchy handling of a pure race bike.
It’s also torsionally stiff, meaning it won’t twist under load, so you’re not wasting energy when you put the power down.
The Right Tyre Clearance
With clearance up to 50c front/45c rear on 700C and 2.1″ on 27.5, the Aix gives you versatility and grip without morphing into a monster-truck gravel bike.
(If your tyres are bigger than your ambitions, you’re basically on a mountain bike.)

Even More Frame Details
Excess grams must die
For every build above the base spec option, we replace every single steel bolt with either titanium or aluminium, depending on its job. All steel mounting screws are replaced with either plastic blanking screws are micro grub screws (to keep all mounting threads clean and corrosion-free). While this process doesn’t drop kilos off the bike, why drag around dozens of steel bolts if you don’t need to?
Frame facing & preparation
Each frame and fork is prepared (alignment checked, head tube reamed, BB shell faced, fork crown faced, front and rear disc mounts faced) to ensure that all components fit as perfectly as possible. This minimises the chances of clicks and creaks, makes the bearings last longer and makes the brakes work as quietly and powerfully as possible.
Seatpost specs
Standard round 27.2mm, because it’s just plain sensible. If you damage the original, you can go to any shop and buy another one.
At Gothic Cycles, we’re not trying to lock you into any proprietary aspects – our bikes are as user-friendly as it gets.
Headtube / cable routing
We can create solutions for almost any request. (Well, not really, but let’s pretend.)
We use the best quality steel bearings we can buy to ensure a long, trouble-free service life.
Seat clamp specs
Standard round 31.8mm.
We do this for the same reason as the post: it works perfectly well, it allows us to add colour accents, and if you break the original, every shop will have something in stock for you.
